Nirvana K9 Training embraces a balanced training approach, prioritizing effective communication and positive reinforcement. Our training methods encompass various tools and techniques, including verbal markers and rewards (such as food, praise, and affection), pet convincers, and a selection of training collars (prong collar, slip collar, starmark, martingale), as well as remote e-collars when deemed necessary. Our goal is to ensure that your dog’s training is reliable and adaptable, especially in public settings and amidst distractions.

Private Lessons

$200 per lesson (Packages available)

There is a $1.50 per mile travel fee outside the 15 mile radius of my home (Shoreline, WA).

This program is highly interactive and hands-on! In our one-on-one sessions, I will guide you through the process of instructing your dog in essential obedience commands like sit, down, place, recall, and heel. Additionally, we’ll work together to tackle any undesirable behaviors that may be occurring at home, such as excessive barking, jumping, chewing, counter-surfing, crate training, nipping, over-exuberance, leash pulling, and more!

This program is ideally suited for dogs that are generally well-behaved but could benefit from a little fine-tuning and polishing of their skills.
Dogs with reactivity/aggression and/or a bite history will not be a candidate for this program, please see the Behavioral Modification Board & Train program.

Basic obedience – on leash
Loose leash heel
Sit/stay and down/stay
Go to “place” – a pet cot and stay until released
Proper manners around people and dogs
Not jump on you or company
Crate manners

Virtual Lessons

30 Minutes: $40 ? 60 minutes: $75

Virtual lessons are an excellent alternative for those who are unable to attend in-person sessions or need help troubleshooting specific behavioral issues with their dogs. With virtual lessons, you can conveniently consult with a professional dog trainer from the comfort of your own home. These sessions provide a personalized experience where you can seek guidance, ask questions, and receive expert advice tailored to your dog’s individual needs. Whether you’re struggling with obedience training, leash pulling, or any other behavioral challenges, virtual lessons offer a practical and effective solution. Simply come prepared with your questions, send me videos to review, and get ready to enhance your dogs training!

Board & Train Programs

3 Week Board & Train

Tuition starts at $3,500

Welcome to our exclusive 21 Day In-Home Board and Train Program, where your beloved canine companion will embark on an intensive training journey tailored to their individual needs.
During this transformative experience, your dog will reside in the comfort of my home, allowing for a focused and immersive training environment. Our program is designed to address a wide range of behavioral challenges and enhance your dog’s obedience, manners, and overall well-being. This program is ideal for anyone who may not have the time to make significant changes within the home on their own, that’s where I come into to help!

This program includes lifetime support (text, email, call, zoom) for behaviors taught during the board & train, as well as three follow-up lesson. All training collars are included in our pricing (slip collar, pinch collar, prong collar, remote collar).

*$500 deposit required at booking to hold your dates, this goes towards the total price of training.

Your dog will learn:

Off leash recall
Sit/Stay around distractions
Down/Stay around distractions
Crate Training
Place (Going to a designated spot and staying there calmly)
Walking in a loose leash next you (No more pulling!)
Thresholds (Waiting patiently at the front door, car door, kennel door, etc)
Nail trims (dremel conditioning optional)

We will also address behaviors like jumping on you or on guests, counter surfing, unwanted barking/whining, or just overall nuisance behaviors!

4-12 Week Behavioral Modification Board & Train

Tuition starts at $5,000 ($1,250 per week)

Our program is specifically tailored for dogs displaying a range of behavioral challenges, including dog aggression, fear aggression, human aggression, fear-related issues, anxiety, separation anxiety, and biting tendencies. Instead of merely addressing surface symptoms and continually addressing various issues as they arise, our approach targets the fundamental mindset of the dog.

Our methodology revolves around establishing credible leadership, nurturing a sense of calm, fostering substantial impulse control, delivering meaningful consequences for undesirable behavior, alleviating stress and anxiety through clarity, and embracing a comprehensive lifestyle approach. We focus on addressing the holistic well-being of the dog, ensuring that we tackle the root causes rather than merely addressing the outward symptoms they may exhibit.
It’s important to recognize that working with aggression differs significantly from typical obedience training. It demands a higher level of intensity, a longer time commitment, and poses greater risks for both the trainer and their personal dogs. Consequently, we have stringent safety protocols in place to ensure the well-being of both the dog and the trainer.

This program includes lifetime support (text, email, call, zoom) for behaviors taught during the board & train, as well as follow-up lessons for the duration of the dogs life (even if they are rehomed). All training collars are included in our pricing (slip collar, pinch collar, prong collar, remote collar).
